Buy QuickBooks 2007 for Less Than Retail

QuickBooks Pro 2007 normally retails for $199, plus tax. Quite often I see it on sale for $179 at places like Office Depot or Staples. The lowest price I've seen is $159, but that isn't too often.

If you are ready to upgrade QuickBooks, or if you are purchasing it for the first time, here are my suggestions to get it for less than the suggested retail price:

1. Get a Sunday paper and look through the office supply ads to see if QuickBooks is on sale. Factor in sales tax and the time to go and buy it. Sometimes rebates are offered; I'm not a big fan of rebates because they are a hassle. But if you like them, factor it in to your final price.
